I am working on kits that celebrate each month of the year and this month, of course, is January.
Garnet is the birthstone for January and did you know that it comes in all colors except blue? I did not. The color we see most often is vibrant red! The garnet is named for pomegranate seeds because the small red oval stones resemble the seeds of a pomegranate (at least that is what Google says) – so I’ve incorporated some pomegranate motifs into this kit for you. If you find that sort of thing as fascinating as I do, you can read more about it here. The carnation is the designated flower for the month of January, so I’ve included some carnation imagery as well. Next month is February and the amethyst!
